Background
Shannon studied Law LLB at Anglia Ruskin Chelmsford and completed the Legal Practice Court at Anglia Ruskin Cambridge in May 2016 attaining a Distinction and achieving the Cambridge and West Suffolk Resolution Award for the highest grade in Family Law. Whilst studying Shannon volunteered at a local Citizen’s Advice Bureau as an Advisor and Supervisor. Shannon joined Jefferies Solicitors Essex in April 2016.
In Work
Since May 2016 Shannon has been working alongside Family Law Solicitors in the Family Law department initially as a paralegal and then as a Trainee Solicitor. Shannon qualified as a Solicitor in July 2018 and continues to take on a range of work within the Family Department as a Family Solicitor.
Shannon gained her Children Law Accreditation from the Law Society in February 2023, expanding her practice to include the representation of children within the Family Court.
Shannon specialises in children matters including both public law matters relating to the involvement of the Local Authority; as well as private law children matters and disputes between parents. Shannon enjoys taking a case from start to finish and supporting her clients throughout their case. Shannon regularly undertakes her own advocacy and attends Court to represent her clients. Shannon also offers advice and representation in relation to injunction proceedings for Non-Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders. Whilst training Shannon also assisted with surrogacy and adoption matters.
Outside Work
In her free time, Shannon enjoys keeping active, live music and theatre and spending time with family and friends.
