Background
Philip trained in the City, qualifying in 1984. He then spent the next 26 years working in the West End practising mostly in Restaurants, Clubs and Media Litigation, before joining the family firm of Conway & Conway in January 2011.
In Work
Having acted for various national newspapers, magazines, book publishers, clubs, restaurants and celebrities, Philip brought his years of London experience to the family practice in 2011 where he focused on Private Client work. He said that whilst working on such high-profile cases was fascinating, the draw of his home town and family business became too difficult to resist. Conway & Conway’s substantial Private Client work soon filled Philip’s practice, which he has brought to Jefferies Solicitors Essex, becoming a member of the Wills & Probate Team.
Outside Work
Philip has been a lifelong supporter of Essex Cricket Club and Southend United. He is an avid reader of modern history. He has been married for nearly 30 years and has two daughters.
