Jefferies will have to make changes for their second friendly game of the season with Barrons Accountants on Thursday.
After their shock defeat to AJ Chambers, Jefferies look to bounce back, but will be without their young starlet, Shaun Young, who has suffered a Grade 3 Ligament Tear.
Jefferies will be looking amongst their ranks for goals after top scorer Shaun Young (5) is out for 6 weeks.
Returning to fitness after a game on the sidelines, Duncan Bennington is likely to start for Jefferies, with Mark Rothman, Alex Hyams, Tinashe Tandayi, and Richard Grant returning to action.
Partner Mark Rothman, Jefferies’ most consistent holding midfielder has said “I don’t know what Alex is doing on the left wing, he said he was like Dembele! He needs to start moving around the pitch.” After scoring twice in the last game, Alex looks to increase his 2-goalscoring record.
Richard Grant is expected to maintain his status as Jefferies’ answer to Vinnie Jones, by replicating his performance on the right wing.
It is all to play for on Thursday night, and the Jefferies team can only hope that the echoes of laughter over the pink socks have died down.
