Jefferies are thrilled to announce that Shannon Tomkins, Solicitor at Jefferies Law, has gained her Children Law Accreditation.
This means that Shannon is now qualified to represent children in family proceedings in Family Court.
Shannon has worked with Jefferies Solicitors in Essex since 2016; starting with us as a Paralegal in the Family Law department, Shannon qualified as a Solicitor in 2018 and continues to work within the Family Law Department.
The Children Law Accreditation is a recognised quality standard for practitioners representing children in children law proceedings.
To receive the Child Law Accreditation, an applicant must complete a 3-day course, submit a lengthy application setting out their experience of representing clients in children matters and attend an interview with The Law Society.
Shannon initially made this application in early 2022, taking 10 months for the process to reach the interview stage due to backlogs in the process.
Shannon is very pleased to now be Children Law Accredited and has the opportunity to continue expanding her knowledge and practice by representing children as well as parents in children proceedings.
