We recruit trainee solicitors based upon our business needs.
Currently we are looking for trainee solicitors who have studied the Legal Practice Course (LPC) or have completed both the SQE1 and SQE2 exams. We are looking for trainees that have achieved a 2:1 or higher, although a 2:2 will be considered if you have additional skills or experience.
Trainees should be friendly, enthusiastic, and well organised, with commercial awareness and a practical approach.
Trainees will be primarily based in our Southend office but may be required to visit our Chelmsford office on occasion.
We hope that a training contract will only be the start of your career journey at Jefferies, and it is our aim to offer all our trainees a position at the end of their training contract. However, a job offer depends on several factors, especially performance during the training contract and the availability of jobs within any particular department.
